I will produce a report outlining the technical improvements that you can make to your website to keep it safe, secure and meeting your customers (and Google’s) needs.

You can then choose to either work through these recommendations yourself or hire me to make the changes for you.

Security Review

The standard WordPress and hosting setup can be strengthened to reduce the risk of being hacked.

I'll check and let you know if there are ways you can strengthen your security to reduce the risk of being hacked.

Software Review

Security vulnerabilities in your website software are one of the main ways hackers can steal your website or insert malware.

I will check if you have any out-of-date software on your website or any software that is no longer being maintained.

Backup Review

Website data can be lost due to user error, server problems and other technical issues so backups of your website are vital.

I will check that you have backups enabled and that those backups can be used to restore your website.

Broken Link Check

I will check that all your links work and that you have a effective 404 page just in case.

There are 3 critical parts to search engine optimisation aka topping those Google search results: technical, on-page and off-page.

I will check that your SEO plugin has been set up correctly and that your information is being submitted to Google correctly.

FAQs

I'd like to do both audits - can I get a discount?

Sure thing! If you book and pay for both the back-end and front-end audits at the same time, I’ll knock $100 off the total price.

If you choose to do only one audit now, I’ll take $50 off any future audits.

What do I get at the end of this service?

You will receive a comprehensive report listing what I checked, how your website performed and my suggested improvements. This is yours to keep.

You can then choose to make the proposed changes yourself or hire me to make them for you. If you like, you can even hire another developer to make the changes for you (but I don’t recommend that 😉 )

Will you make the improvements for me?

Absolutely! If you’re not comfortable making these changes yourself, I would love to make them for you.

I can include a quote for the changes at your request.

Can you review my search engine optimisation (SEO)?

SEO is a whole specialisation in and of itself. I will review your technical SEO but if you would like your on-page or off-page SEO reviewed, you should hire an SEO specialist. If you need a recommendation for this, please let me know.

Can you review my website copy (the words on my website)?

Copywriting is a whole specialisation in and of itself so if you would like your copy reviewed you should hire a copywriting specialist. If you need a recommendation for this, please let me know.

I don't use WordPress. Can I still get you to perform an audit?

No, sorry, at this point I only perform Website Audits for WordPress websites.
