Changing the functionality of a plugin
I recently built a membership website for an organisation who had previously only had offline payments. Their membership period ran from 1 July to 30 June each so each membership had to expire 30 days after 30 June, if no payment had been received.
The membership plugin I used was built around rolling memberships. I wrote code to override the default expiry date logic, allowing them to keep their fixed 30 June membership end date.
Using custom post types to populate pages
For a book publisher’s website, I created custom post types for their authors, with an archive page for their authors.
Using the power of Elementor, each time an author was added to their portfolio, an author page was automatically created and populated with the author bio and the books. This greatly reduced the lead time for including new authors on their website.

I make all the changes on a staging website, which is essentially a copy of your website that only you and I can see. Once you’re happy with the changes, I copy them over to your website which requires only the briefest of outages, typically only an hour. We schedule the release to fit in with you and your customers.
I also work with Shopify websites but if you use another platform I’m not the right person for you, sorry!
After we’ve agreed the scope of the work, I’ll ask for a 50% deposit to secure a spot in my schedule. Then, once you’re completely happy with the work on the staging website, I’ll send an invoice for the remaining 50%. Once that’s been paid, I’ll make all your changes go live.
